Lyrics

Stayed up for hours just to listen to the old band
Cried in my beer and thought ‘amazing that I still can’

Liz on the cover, Jason’s voice is ringing so clear
But they moved to Denver and I’m stuck here for another year

No one to groove me, there ain’t no one left to dance the blues
Can’t quite forget her, can’t seem to fill his shoes

Flew to Chicago just to give it all a new chance
Drove down to Bloomington and sat while everybody danced

Seems like another life where everyone has died but me
Like they been buried in the Midwest after world war three

I am lost in the moment I am waiting ‘til whenever comes
Feeling insignificant, afraid that I ain’t anyone

Loved every woman from the second I was introduced
But I’ll never want anything more than I have wanted you

I find it strange all this smoke has brought the brightest sun set
But that’s like you and me we fight until we’re having fun yet

Can’t take it anymore you come and then you go away
See I don’t need you think I need you just to stay
